If you have been an adult for any amount of time, chances are that you have either experienced anxiety to some degree or the other, at some point in your life. The culture we live in certainly does not make things any better for us. We are overloaded with work, hurt from broken relationships, enslaved to mindless entertainment that does not satisfy, and totally given into the deception of social media. As if all of that is not enough, we are faced with pandemics, wars, ever growing list of cancers and other incurable diseases. It is, therefore, not surprising that we feel anxious.
What is surprising, is the Bible’s solution to the problem of Anxiety! The Bible makes it clear over and over again that the only true solution to Anxiety is trusting in God and his unchangeable promises. The inspiration for this air freshener design comes from Philippians 4:6 , and the hymn, “What a friend we have in Jesus”. Philippians 4:6 reminds us that whenever we are hit by anxiety, we ought to take it to God by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving. And, our Lord whose promises are trustworthy, guarantees us that, his peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts.
